Jeavons Wood Primary School is an Academy of The Cam Academy Trust. The Trust and the local governing board agree to accept the Admission Policy guidelines produced by Cambridgeshire County Council.
- Children start school in the September of the year they turn five.
- Applications open in October and close in early January.
- Priority is given to children living in our catchment area.
- Parents are advised if they have been successful in securing a place in April.
- Our PAN for Reception in September 2026 will remain at 60.
Primary applications for September 2026
If your child was born between 1st September 2021 to 31st August 2022 and is due to start Primary School in September 2026, applications can be made via the Cambridgeshire County Council website.
Parents will need to put requests for accelerated or deferred admission in writing to the Local Authority.

Parents can appeal if a place is refused. If two applications meet the criteria equally, priority is given to the child living closest to the school, measured in a straight line. If you need to appeal, click here
The catchment for Jeavons Wood Primary School is Upper Cambourne, Great Cambourne and Lower Cambourne. In case of equal merit in each set of criteria priority will go to children living nearest the school as measured by a straight line.
